Since joining Fru-Con, Michael Fischer has led the implementation of multiple contracts including the upgrade and doubling of capacity of the Arlington County Water Pollution Control Plant for the County of Arlington, Virginia; the upgrade and tripling of capacity of the New Design Road Water Treatment Facility for Frederick County in Frederick, Maryland; and the completion of Loudoun County’s state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility at Broad Run in Ashburn, Virginia.

Over the prior 18 years, Fischer was an officer of several construction and engineering firms, most recently serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Wisconsin based Edward Kraemer and Sons. There he led the joint venture executive committee on the combined $400 million contract for the Woodrow Wilson Bridge’s Bascule (drawbridge) section across the Potomac River, and the related Maryland Approach.

Fischer obtained his education in civil engineering at Polytechnic Institute of New York and Nassau College, Garden City, New York.
