President's Message - Legacy and Future

Dear Fru-Con Team Members:

The Iroquois Indians believe that we are touched by the seven generations that precede us and that we touch the seven generations who follow. I find myself more conscious of the meaning behind this belief as I begin my service as president and chief executive officer of Fru-Con. 

Fru-Con has a proud legacy built by the thousands who came before us. This legacy has been preserved by the people who work for Fru-Con today. Fru-Con’s success through the years has been founded on Quality, Performance, Service and Integrity.  I commit to you that these will continue to be our core values.

It will be my pleasure to meet each of you in the coming days. In the meantime, I would like to share some of my core beliefs with you:

• I believe in forging strong partnerships, taking time to mentor and building mutually-rewarding relationships.
• I believe in the power of teamwork.
• I believe in working to our strengths – as individuals, as teams, as a company and in partnership with our clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• I believe leaders must set the tone and pace of an organization, commit to a clear strategic course, provide the needed resources and expect accountability while also being accountable.
• I believe we can all be leaders at whatever we do.
• I believe we are personally fulfilled when we fully apply ourselves, take the initiative, accentuate the positive and do the right thing.
• I believe in open and honest communication — directly and often.

As I take on my new role, I also want to emphasize how fortunate we are to be part of the Bilfinger Berger AG Multi-Service Group and to enjoy the resources and expertise that come with being part of the world’s largest construction services group. In a world with increasingly interdependent economies, Bilfinger Berger’s enormous global reach and resources benefit us greatly.

I am truly humbled by the privilege to lead you as we work together, serve our clients and strategically, and profitably, grow the company for those who will come after us. I am excited by the opportunities ahead of us and I am proud of the people who make Fru-Con such a great company.
